Econic is an exciting start-up business, born from a vision where catalyst chemistry is used to turn waste CO2 into positive economic and environmental potential. Incorporating waste CO2, as a feedstock, using their innovative catalyst technologies, reduces our dependence on expensive fossil fuels. It’s about turning scientific research into business advantage while delivering environmental benefits for all.

Before Eleven supported Econic, they had been looking for a Senior Process Engineer, advertising the role themselves. And, after using another recruitment company and still not finding the right candidates for the role Econic accepted Eleven’s approach. With a strong network of process engineers, we were confident we could help.

The role had a range of particular challenges including multiple locations where travel was required and specific technology experience working with ‘polyols’ or ‘surfactants’ which further limited the number of suitable candidates. As a start-up too, some candidates may have been hesitant to join.

Eleven managed to overcome these hurdles, thoroughly vetting candidates and quickly providing multiple highly relevant candidates to Econic. We then continued to support both Econic and the candidates through the interview and final the offer process. 

Due to the success of this role, we have since progressed to work on more roles for them including Scientist – Polyol Design, Analytical Scientist and PU Application Specialist. It’s an exciting and expanding time for the business.
