We are currently searching for an Asset Engineer which will have a focus on Onshore Wind, to join one of our key clients established teams, based in Madrid.
In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing the performance of the asset managers and plants under your control, ensuring all issues are addressed in a timely manner, and commercial/financial impacts are communicated with the rest of the Asset Management Team/relevant teams. You will work across teams internally and externally, including the Investment Team, EPC and O&M contractors, and legal counsel and more. This role will work across the whole onshore wind portfolio across Europe, so you will be required to make site visits to each site when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Wind Engineer and Chief Engineer on wind related plant issues, improvements, and projects. Including: Technical performance, Issues and outages, Construction oversight, and Revamping and re-powering
- Report internally and externally, as required to investors, lenders, insurance, and regulatory bodies, in addition to reporting internally on asset issues, performance, and the impact on the SPV & fund
- Development and application of plant improvements, in addition to the completion of project development, construction projects on time and budget
Desirable Skills:
- Construction or Operational management experience (either direct or through asset management), additionally with Contract management (EPC, O&M, TCMA) including application of contract clauses, development of contract clauses and review of contracts.
- Understanding of project finance transaction and application in the loan period (i.e requirements to be met by the borrower)
- Fluent in English required, with additional European languages a bonus (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German or French)
