We are currently searching for a Head of Renewables Project Development Director to join their established team, with the main focus on the wind and solar PV projects in France. This role is based in Lyon.
Our client is a major international wind and solar developer operating on a global scale, with a global portfolio of 7GW, including 2.1GW in wind power and 3.6GW in solar PV.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the development of all current projects, including strategic decision-making, preparation of risk committees and permitting for the forecasted portfolio
- Supervise all of the all of the wind and solar project managers in the process of prospecting, business development, and acquisition of new projects, as well as accompanying them on site visits and meetings with stakeholders and regional representatives
- Coordinate inter-departmental relation in France and aborad for all matters relating to portfolio development
Desirable Skills:
- Engineering degree preferable, ideally with a specialism in renewable energy
- Around 10 years of experince in the development of wind and/or solar PV projects is essential
- Proven expertise in town planning regulations, legal knowledge of land ownership, and a strong understanding of the regional environment
