Key Responsibilities:
- 3D Modeling & Drafting: Create 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings using Autodesk Advance Steel, based on client information or in-house designs.
- Technical Support: Collaborate with the fabrication and installation teams, providing engineering guidance to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve technical mechanical engineering issues, using your experience and knowledge to provide efficient solutions.
- Education: HNC in Mechanical Engineering or higher (lower qualifications considered with relevant experience).
- Industry Experience: Knowledge and understanding of BS EN ISO 14122 is essential for the role. Plus steelwork design, or fabrication / installation, with experience in mechanical design for steel structures, platforms, and stairs being an advantage.
- Software Skills: Experience with Autodesk Advance Steel is preferred, but in-house training is provided if required.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, with the ability to develop detailed drawings from process datasheets and project specifications.
